Used as a nutritional supplement, Pacific Dogfish Shark Cartilage provides an excellent source of naturally derived protein, calcium, phosphorous, chondroitin sulphate and other mucopolysaccharides, glycosaminoglycans, collagen and vitamins.
Shark cartilage can be used for a variety of beneficial uses: as an anti-inflammatory agent to reduce swelling and inflammation and promote lubrication and cushioning in the joints; to help maintain proper bone and joint function; as a wound healing substance; as an aid in boosting the immune system; and as pain relief to help arthritis.
Most sources of chondroitin sulphate available are produced from bovine (cow/cattle) sources. Shark cartilage has no BSE concerns for consumers.
